# History

> In early February of 2023 a group of Solana enthusiasts organized to successfully “de-rug” Thesmophoria.

Art Upgrade - Within a month of taking control of the project, the community held a “Ruby Burn Event”. This event represented a renewal in direction and vision for Thesmophoria. In total, there were roughly 900 Thesmophoria’s contributed by the community where half were upgraded, and the rest burned.&#x20;

Shortly after our ruby event concluded, we delivered an inhouse built NFT locking and raffle platform to our community.&#x20;

Just days later we announced an industry first, Twitch R2E (raid to earn) platform that helped streamers grow their brand and following while providing a fun new (and profitable) twist to the industries current R2E system.
